Starting
this fall, we are pleased to offer fractional CO2 laser skin
resurfacing for Irving and the Dallas Fort Worth area. This
office-based rejuvenation procedure provides an excellent balance
between results and convenience. The procedure is performed in the
office with topical anesthesia and requires only 2-3 days for the
initial healing time. In previous laser skin treatments, the entire
surface area of the skin was ablated, relying on the skin cells
underneath the surface to re-grow and cover the denuded areas. This
technique results in longer healing times and higher complication rates
than fractional resurfacing. With fractional resurfacing, the laser
only treats a pattern of tiny dots and leaves the adjacent skin cells
untouched. The benefit is that the collagen underneath the surface is
still renewed and regenerated but the untreated surface cells facilitate
