Scar revision for Dallas/Fort Worth/Irving
Facial scars can be very unsightly and unsettling for patients who have sustained traumatic injury or previous surgery.  A number of techniques are employed to hide and camouflage scars.  Unfavorable facial scars may be wide, uneven, discolored, or positioned such that they run counter to the natural tension lines in the skin.  Scar revision may include excision of previous scar with reshaping or repositioning the wound edges to allow for better healing and a less noticeable incision line.  Some scars are amenable to dermabrasion to blend the scar with the surrounding uninvolved skin.
