The nose is central to both form and function for every human being.  Surgery on the nose (rhinoplasty) is performed to improve nasal breathing or nasal shape and restore harmony to the face.  Obstructed nasal breathing can occur from a variety of reasons including allergies, sinusitis, nasal polyps, enlarged turbinates, deviated septum, previous nasal fracture, weak nasal cartilages, or from prior over-aggressive rhinoplasty.  Because Dr. Thomason is double board-certified in ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery, you can rest assured that your evaluation for nasal surgery will be complete.  Surgery can correct asymmetry of the nasal dorsum, nasal hump, over-projection of the nasal tip, amorphous nasal tip, deviation of the nasal bones, and weak or collapsed nasal cartilages.  This can be performed concurrently with endoscopic sinus surgery if there is co-existent sinus disease.  For more information about nasal surgery, please view our patient information sheet.
